Power Supply -*** DO NOT BUY STANDARD POWER SUPPLIES***

Ok I bought my CyberpowerPC from Newegg  which has the 700w xtremegear PSU-- I should have been reading the forums and avoided my mistake. Ok my PC should be here Saturday.

I will order another PSU from Newegg and switch it out-- is this a good one and will it replace the xtremegear as far as wiring goes?

Here is a better deal. This is 750 watts compared with 720, 80+ Silver compared to 80+ Bronze, and is $110 with an additional $10 MIR with $4 shipping compared to $130 with $6 shipping. Net savings of $32 after the rebate...

Great thread! I remember a few years back when I joined these forums and ordered my PC, I made the mistake of going with a standard power supply and got an Apevia. Power supply was fried within a few days and remember seeing on here about the paper clip test. Ordered a Corsair and now my Brother is the owner of that computer. I do plan on ordering a gaming desktop from here by today though, as my iMac is giving me issues

I ordered the Corsair Hydro series H60, but was told I couldn't get the push\pull feature. Is this cooling system any good?
Some days it's just too much trouble to chew through my leather straps.

great post - wish I knew all this before I bought my FANG in 2010!  I've spent hundreds fixing their open cooling system, starting with pump that died.

I have sort of gotten used to purging and flushing the cooling system - just like with a car.  If you need ANYTHING liquid cooling, FrozenCPU.com has more than you can imagine.  If you are wondering what to do, PM me and I will put you in contact with their liquid cooling guru.

BTW - is there a configuration (like the old 2010 FANG) that offers 30% overclocking and liquid cooling GTX-680 (mine is a 480)?  Back in 2010, it was hard to find the FANG on their website - and I can't find anything now but 20% overclocking and no liquid cooled GPU's.
