Think this all boils down to parts selection and planning. Here is mine, I made a few minor changes and finally got the video card I wanted.my score is dragged down a bit by the WD external drive which is not terribly fast. This cost roughly $1600 from here last Black Friday and I did a few enhancements on my end bringing the total up to $2100 or so. You donít have to spend a lot, just spend wisely and use the sales.

It's not your external drive that you're taking the hit it's your SDD.  That's a huge hit actually. They didn't use your external drive in figuring the performance results. Use the PC Build Comparison tool and watch what happens when you plug in a Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 512GB as I did here:

Used a TR 2990WX for comparison sake. You get virtually no benefit from buying a TR 2990WX or I9-7960X when it comes to gaming and desktop vs your current build. You going to have that 1950 for a very long time. Could not find your RAM kit so used the highest scoring 3200MHz kit
