All pictures provided may differ to your own system configurations and components.


Check the connection from the harddrive and the data cable that attaches to the motherboard.

Note: The silver tab on the cable are locks which need to be presed to release the connection.


IDE Connection. Older Optical and Hard drives uses this connection

1. Review over your order, check if the system was build for a RAID build. If so check the BIOS if the setting was reset. Enable the harddrive controller to RAID. 

2. Trace the cables to both the harddrive and motherboard. Ensure both are attached firmly.

3. Move the harddrive SATA cable to a different SATA port on the motherboard.

4. Use a spare SATA cable if available to replace the current connector and use another SATA power connection.
