Hi

I configured 2 computers below and I could use some help. Thank you.

 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1LGDD1

 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1LGDD2

I don’t know if either configuration is preferred with the 2 different mother boards (not sure which is newer and/or better) and the 2 different CPU’s I chose for my needs.

Any input on the hard drive, power supply, video card, case, fans, etc is appreciated as well. (A quiet machine is also important to me.)

I will use this computer to:

1. Have multiple stock trading platforms open at once.

2. Have multiple google chrome tabs open.

3. Have multiple word/excel documents open at once.

4. Have bandicam screen capture recording a couple hours a day during stock trading times.

6. Have some various other things open.

Please feel free to ask me any questions. Thanks again.

Your full build is not coming up since there has been  change in the free HD. Thats why it is better to copy and paste the specs to compare rather than a build link.

Build one, no case fans, don't let CP overclock, they tend to just ramp up voltages, use the MOBO software or look up your MOBO and do it yourself.

Anytime you OC you need to be looking at 240mm sealed cooler, a 120mm is not much better than a standard cooler and your throwing a lot of heat at it.

NEVER a standard PSU, you have no idea what CP will throw in, Always select a name brand. If it is the true standard, they provide uneven power (ripples) have a high failure rate and have been known to fry systems.

No idea why you going with "2" 8TB drives.

If your shipping, the ultra care packing protects your system from UPS. At least you did get the premium warranty.

Most users will never use 32GB's of RAM.

Second build, you haven't' told us what the machines are for. If generally for gaming a ton of overkill. No way 10 cores are needed or 32GB's of RAM. Both have way to low cooling, can't confirm cases since the base changed. If you doing 3D work, heavy multi-tasking then more cores and tons of RAM makes sense.

Gaming  the i9 in the first build is great, drop to 16GB's f RAm and get a better GPU the GTX 1650 is not going to do games justice, you should go with a RTX 2060 or 2070

Thank you for the input. Sorry about the links. I copy and pasted the 2 builds below.

In response to your feedback:

First of all sorry I wasn't clear for my use. I use the the machine for heavy multitasking. I don't do any gaming but I day trade stocks and have multiple trading platforms open at once. In addition I record multiple screens. I think I multitask more than the norm since I have so many things open at once and I don't like to close things until the end of the day.

1. Do you think I should have more case fans?

2. Is it simple for me to do the OC myself with the software that I won't harm anything?

3. Do think the OC is worth doing?

4. Do you recommend a particular 240mm sealed cooler?

5. Do you recommend a particular brand and/or model PSU and also a certain wattage?

6. I currently have 7TB of storage on externals and was figuring having the extra 8TB may come in handy one day. Maybe its overkill-not sure. I want to have a 2nd SSD to store the stuff I use daily for faster access.

7. The ultra care packing sounds like a good idea. Thanks.

8. I currently have 16GB DDR3 Memory on a machine from 1/2014 and it seems like I'm waiting a lot for programs to open and close and also I get the spinning circle a lot so I thought 32GB would help this. I'm looking for a faster and more responsive experience. I just tested my pc with a fairly normal load and I was accessing about 14GB if that helps. I'll have to monitor it as the day goes on.

9. I currently have an i7=4820 CPU @ 3.70GHz. Do you think either one of these CPUs will be much better?

10. Do you think I should upgrade the GPU for my use since I don't do any gaming. (I'm not sure if it would make a difference for moving stock charts.)

11. Do you think either mother board is better than the other in these builds?

Thanks again.

Update:

My current PC has been giving me some problems today so I'm ready to purchase this PC over the weekend.

Any feedback/help is much appreciated to anyone who has anything to add.

Gann1957 thanks for the starting point you gave me and I look forward to your feedback from the last update.

Thanks all!

Ok I updated the 2 builds with the suggestions.

I'm going to be using this machine for everyday use and very heavy multitasking. I put a lot of stress on a system... I will not be using it for any gaming.

Does anybody recommend any other tweaking and/or suggestions on either build or which one is preferred?

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate it!

Second build, just because with your needs the more cores the faster the work gets done.

For your primary drive, I  would drop the combo setup and go with an NVMe drive, these are at least twice as fast as a standard SSD, of course the cost is up. 500 Gb's.
