You know it's true all of the companies should make sure the package gets to the buyer safely. It has nothing to do with "Well CP offers extra protection when other companies don't" They offer overpriced protection that should be added in by all companies. Kudos to them for giving an option not many others do though, doesn't make it right though

____

But on a completely separate note, thanks for all the help and suggestions @Gan. Really going to help once I get my PC in. Glad someone goes around and makes sure everyone knows proper procedures to follow when they get their new PC in.

CyberPower's premium packaging sounds great.  What doesn't make sense is charging extra for it instead of having it as standard packaging. If a computer is delivered and then cannot boot because of a damaged motherboard, it would be difficult for CP to tag that on the shipper and get credit.  So, CP eats the cost of replacing the damaged motherboard under warranty.  Yet, that might have been prevented by premium packaging.  It sounds foolish if CP doesn't automatically provide that since THEY are the entity responsible for any problems with the computer and they must eat the cost.  In other words, providing the premium packaging on ALL shipments is likely far cheaper than the possible repairs and replacements caused by lower-end packaging. Providing it as an "extra" makes no business sense since the extra packaging protects the COMPANY.   That is my only point speaking as a business owner.   When I ship out products, I do whatever I can to package them well to minimize any possible shipping damage that I would be responsible for. It would make absolutely no sense to package some of my shipments poorly because the customer chose not to buy "premium packaging" when "I" will have to pay the cost of any damage.  Of course, I said this same thing about four times now, so I think I'll drop the packaging discussion and say that I look forward to receiving my computer within the next couple of weeks.

Buying the Ultra Enhanced Packaging can prevent a damaged MOBO from drops. Unless you buy the free shipping return policy for a year plan. Your gonna have to pay a lot to send it back!

Cyberpowerpc customers are low cost shoppers.  They also have this forum set up for us Ö.what other retailer lets a customer rant away on their custom gaming site, from those who bought from a big box store. Which are most always sub par to lower cost.

I didn't realize this. The only reason I ended up going with CyberPowerPC was because I saw how much I could get for my budget. But my budget isn't low. My budget is higher than anything I could find on the floor at a normal store. I had an Alienware, it was trash. I tried ASUS ROG laptops, but didn't like having to game on a laptop all the time. Too many bottlenecks and performance suffers. Right now, I'm using an ASUS ROG STRIX GD30CI. It's decent, i7-7700, 1060, 16GB RAM, SSD, etc etc. But it's just not what I "want" from my gaming rig. So this one is going to the wife, and I'm getting a new one. I just didn't realize you could get so much PC for my price point. So then I went a little crazy with it. I'm pleased with the price for sure, but I didn't come to CyberPower because they were so "low cost". Maybe most do, but I couldn't really speak to that.

I didnt really choose CB for the low price. Mostly just due to the fact it's the one I was able to find the most information on (due to these forums) and found out the standard PSU's are a main reason they have a bad rep. And apparently bad customer service at least a few years ago. But it seemed like the best option for my money. I didn't want to have to put everything together and worry about cable management myself either. I just have to add in my own PSU, Water Coolor AIO Kit, case fans, and an SSD. Which won't be too hard at all for me. Sadly didn't realize I had left the standard PSU in before my purchase. Wish I'd have selected a better one like I thought so I wouldn't have to take one out and replace it, but oh well, won't be too hard.

Also hoping my MOBO isnt damaged, because I didnt realize they wouldn't have precautions to keep it safe. But I guess if so, I have free shipping back to them, so it won't be too much of a problem. If that does happen though, I may just decide to drop some more money get my own MOBO and say f**k it and fix it myself so I don't have to wait the extended amount of time for an issue that could just happen again.

Happy to hear! Sounds like we're all fairly close in date. I'm guessing mine will ship early next week.
