RTX 5050 – Specs
The RTX 5050 features 2560 cores running at boost clock speed of 2.57 Ghz. This puts it at around 13.16 TFLOPS, so just a smidge lower than an RTX 4060 in terms of power.
It is powered by just a single PCIe 8-pin cable, thanks to an efficient maximum of 130 watts at stock speeds. A power supply with as little as 550 watts can easily power a system using the RTX 5050.
Like other 50 Series cards, it is equipped with Blackwell CUDA cores, a 9th generation NVIDIA Encoder (NVENC), 6th Gen NVIDIA Decoder (NVDEC), and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
Who is the RTX 5050 for?

x50 class GeForce GPUs are usually among the most popular in the world, usually only second in popularity to the x60 class GPUs. They offer an excellent price point and power profile, making them a great choice for budget conscious gaming PCs.
In NVIDIA’s own words, the RTX 5050 is great for those who are stepping up to an RTX graphics card for the first time, anyone who wants a nice upgrade to their existing x50-class graphics card, students who balance schoolwork and play, and small power efficient home theater PCs that support all of the latest codecs.
The RTX 5050 is an excellent choice to a get a capable gaming PC that doesn’t break the bank. Factor in performance boosting features, like DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, and you have a very compelling graphics card for only $249.
When is the RTX 5050 Available?
GeForce RTX 5050 graphics cards will be available beginning in the second half of July. They will start at an MSRP of $249. They will be available in our custom and prebuilt gaming PCs.
