The Elder Scrolls Online finally ends its year-long Season of the Dragon content. And with its end comes a new chapter which is said to be focused and set in Skyrim.
The Season of the Dragon was 2019’s roadmap and was connected to the release of the Elsweyr expansion. But with the year 2020 comes a new expansion.
Bethesda released a new cinematic trailer during last year’s The Game Awards, which shows the conclusion of the Season of the Dragon content. The trailer then ends with a teaser line that says, “Explore the Dark Heart of Skyrim.” The video also invites fans to an event that will happen on January 16, 2020.

Skyrim is one of the locations players can explore in the Elder Scrolls Online. However, the teaser may suggest that the new expansion will give players a more in-depth insight into the region.
As to what the “dark heart” may mean, players are starting to have their speculations about the new content. Some think it might involve the Wolf Queen, others think it might be something to do with Blackreach as a potential location. But in the meantime, all we can do is wait until January 16 for further details.
