Apex Legends has just released its latest update on April 16, which includes Legends Balancing and Weapon Balancing.
Below is a list of the updates included in Patch 1.1.1.
Legends Balancing
Gibraltar and Caustic get a new perk added to their passive, Fortified, which reduces their damage taken by 10%. A few life kit adjustments are also made for their marquee abilities to have more impact on their individual playstyles.
Gibraltar
- Added Fortified Passive Perk – reduces damage taken by 10%.
- Gas Damage per tick is increased from 1 to 4.
- Ultimate Throw Distance has been increased from 28 meters to 33 meters.
Caustic
- Added Fortified Passive Perk – reduces damage taken by 10%.
- Increased in Gun Shield health from 50 to 75.
Weapon Balancing
Several weapons are updated with Respawn intention of improving the long-range gameplay. Spitfire has been nerfed, as well as Wingman, but Havoc is going to get some general ammo and charge beam buffs.
G7 Scout / Triple Take / Longbow DMR
- Lowered leg shot damage reduced from 25% to 10%.
- Base weapon sways reduced by about 33%.
- Base sway speed reduced by about 25%.
Longbow DMR

- Increased fire rate from 1.2 to 1.6.
- Increased magazine size:
- The base magazine is increased from 5 to 6 rounds.
- Common magazine extender is increased from 6 to 8 rounds.

- Rare magazine extender from 8 to 10 rounds.
- Epic magazine extender from 10 to 12 rounds.
Havoc
- Base magazine size increased from 25 to 32 rounds.
- Charge beam includes the ff. Changes:
- Charge beam includes the following changes:
- Reduced cost per shot from 5 to 4.
- Increased close range damage from 55 to 60.
- Increased damage at range from 45 to 50.
- Close range damage falloff is increased from 35m to 75m.
- Range damage falloff increased from 75m to 125m.
Wingman
- Magazine size is reduced:
- Base magazine reduced from 6 to 4 rounds.
- Common magazine extender reduced from 8 to 6 rounds.
- Rare magazine extender reduced from 9 to 8 rounds.
- Epic magazine extender reduced from 12 to 10 rounds.
Spitfire
- Base damage is reduced from 20 to 18.
- Magazine extender attachment is reduced:
- Common magazine extender is reduced from 45 to 40 rounds.
- Rare magazine extender is reduced from 55 to 45 rounds.
- Epic magazine extender is reduced from 60 to 55 rounds.
Gold Weapon Adjustments
Gold Havoc
- Turbocharger added.
- 1x to the 2x variable holo site added.
Gold R301
- Now features 1x to 2x variable holo site.
Gold Wingman
- Digital threat added.
Additional Updates
Other updates include the Jump Ship Speed which was increased by 50% because Respawn noted that it was moving a bit too slow. The developer has reportedly fixed the UI bug the wrong display of percentage for the boost badges.
