Ubisoft Changes Gods & Monsters Title

Immortals Fenyx rising

Ubisoft has officially renamed their upcoming open-world Greek mythology game, Gods & Monsters. The game will now be known as Immortals Fenyx Rising.

The news was announced on Twitter with the game’s new logo. The reworked game was featured at the Ubisoft Forward broadcast that happened last September 10.

Gods & Monsters was first revealed by Ubisoft during E3 2019 with an original release date of February 25, 2020. The developers then announced late last year that the game will be delayed.

Early in June, a Google Stadia bug made rounds in the internet, wherein an early version of the game was briefly playable. However, Ubisoft confirmed that the bug was the E3 2019 demo version of Gods & Monsters.

The developers also made it clear that the game has been altered since then. In an interview with EuroGamer, the developers noted that the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters has evolved in surprising ways. This was something very common in developing new exciting worlds. Much has changed since its E3 2019 demo version, including its features, tone, art, and character design. This is why Ubisoft thinks that having a new title is fitting.

Immortals Fenyx Rising introduces players to a beautifully artistic open world inspired by Greek mythology. It lets you confront mythological beasts such as the Gorgons, Hydras, and even Cyclops.

In this game, you take on the role of a budding hero who was given special powers by the gods of Olympus. You must use these powers to fight monsters and explore their world. Your main goal is to help the Olympus gods restore their powers after falling victim to Typhon, the deadliest creature in Greek mythology.

Immortals Fenyx Rising will be launched before 2020 ends on gaming PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch. It is also expected to launch for next-gen consoles including Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
