The Best Hunter Gods to Use in Smite

Aside from League of Legends and Dota 2, Smite is slowly becoming popular and keeping up with other MOBA games in the market. With similar gameplay, it allows players to choose one from its several characters to use in a 5v5 or 3v3 battle. One of my favorite roles to take is the Hunter, item-dependent heroes who use their basic attack to deal most of their damage.

Jing Wei

Jing Wei, the Oath Keeper, is a mythological figure from China. In Smite, she’s a ranged physical type of hunter with high mobility. She has a flexible skill kit and can deliver high damage when her skills are properly utilized. Her ultimate, Air Strike, allows her to fly forward and upward while covering the area below her in an explosion which damages all enemies in the area.

Skadi

Skadi, the Goddess of Winter, is the known daughter of Jotun Thjazir who was killed by the Norse gods. Upon agreement, she married the Norse God of Summer, Niord. This long-range physical Hunter possesses a skill kit perfect for crowd control and pushing lanes. She also has high damage and unique utility.

Apollo

Apollo is the Greek God of Music, known for being brash and dauntless. He basked in the adorations of his people and shines victoriously. In the battlefield, his advantage is his high mobility which allows him to control his phase throughout the game. He has a fairly decent damage and a fairly strong ultimate skill to use before or during the fight.

Ullr

Ullr, The Glorious One, is the reserved and secretive Norse God of Glory and a renowned hunter. Although quite difficult to use, he has flexible stances, can deliver high damage output, and an invaluable stun. His skills changes and you must be able to know when to execute the right skills at the right time to be able to fully utilize his power.

Neith

Neith is the Egyptian Goddess and the known Weaver of Fate, who protects and nurtures the people. She is easy to use and has a good and clear damage. Her skill kit delivers high sustain and is perfect when it comes crowd control. Her third skill, Back Flip, provides an easy escape for her when she is cornered. While her ultimate, World Weaver, is the perfect ability to finish her enemy.

Chiron

Chiron is the Greek Gods’ and Goddess’ Great Teacher. He is a centaur which bears the torso of a man and the body of a horse. Although brutal and violent, he is a known scholar and astrologer. In Smite, he’s an attack damage carry hunter who is capable of delivering high damage with a skill kit capable of supporting his allies.

Rama

Rama is the Seventh Avatar of Vishnu in the Hindu mythology. This ranged physical Hunter has high mobility and high attack speed. Quite difficult to use, but once mastered, the player can fully utilize his skill kits and make him a strong hunter in the game. His ultimate, Astral Barrage, allows him to launch into the air and shoot three powerful arrows at the ground, dealing great damage to his enemies.
