The player takes control of the same unnamed character, who became the 3rd Street Saints gang leader. In Saints Row: The Third, the player, and the gang find themselves stranded in the city of Steelport. Here, they are in a war against the gang, the Syndicate, which controls Steelport. While fighting against the Syndicate, the Saints must also do their best to contend with the S.T.A.G., a violent paramilitary aiming to restore order in Steelport.
