At Computex 2021, Nvidia has announced new graphics cards and listed down 130 games that will support the company’s DLSS technology. One of these games includes the Rockstar Games’ 2018 hit action-adventure game, Red Dead Redemption 2. The game was first released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was then released for PC in 2019, including several tweaks, technical upgrades, and uncapped frame rates.
However, the cause of those improvements meant that the PC port of the game was graphically intensive. And it also required a beefy rig to play the game at its best performance. With the enablement of DLSS for Red Dead Redemption 2, it will provide a free performance boost. This will allow PC users to achieve a higher framerate in the game without upgrading their hardware. DLSS support will help many PC users who do not have powerful hardware to run Red Dead Redemption on recommended settings. It is also perfect for gamers who want to get an RTX 30-series graphics card but are unable to do so.
For those who don’t know what Nvidia DLSS is. It features a piece of tech called deep learning supersampling. The game works by upscaling lower resolution images. It also uses AI or artificial intelligence to make the images that appear on your PC in a higher resolution without needing too much power from your hardware to achieve the quality. Rockstar and Nvidia haven’t announced yet when DLSS is coming to Red Dead Redemption 2 on the gaming PC. But Nvidia says that it is coming soon. So it might be possible that the DLSS support will release before this year ends.
