2017 was an excellent year for gaming. So the question is, will 2018 be able to beat it when it comes to game releases? Well, for us, only time will tell. We’re pretty sure though that many are already excited about Bioware’s most ambitious MMORPG, Anthem, and the delayed release of Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr.
To name a few, here are five of the best upcoming PC games in 2018:
Far Cry 5

The 11th installment in Ubisoft’s Far Cry series, Far Cry 5 is an action-adventure first-person shooter video game for Microsoft Windows gaming PCs and gaming laptops. It is set in a fictional city Hope Country, Montana. The player takes the role of a sheriff’s deputy. His mission is to arrest a preacher named Joseph Seed who had established a congregation called Eden’s Gate. Seed has been using this group to forcibly convert the residents of Hope City.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the most-awaited sequel to Moon Studios’ Ori and the Blind Forest. Like its predecessor, it is a platform-adventure Metroidvania video game for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. The player again assumes control of Ori, a white guardian spirit, and Sein, the “light, and eyes” of the Forest’s Spirit Tree. Players must move between platforms and solve puzzles. Ori and the Will of the Wisps also features a system called “soul links.”
Anthem

Anthem is the upcoming online MMORPG from Bioware and Electronic Arts. Its trailer gained popularity due to its sci-fi look and humans with fully customizable exo-suits called Javelins. The action role-playing game is set in an open world environment. The players take the role of a Freelancer donning an exo-suit which can be customized to have unique weapons and superhuman abilities. Players will have to face savage beasts and ruthless marauders while exploring lost ruins, trying to survive massive, world-altering terrain occurrences, such as “Shaper Storms.”
Detroit: Become Human

Detroit: Become Human is the upcoming neo-noir thriller from Quantic Dream. It features the story of three androids, striving to understand their role in a human-ruled society where androids are mere servants. The game is played in a third-person perspective, which is subject to a set and controllable perspective. Its story plays out depending on the choices the players make, which means it has different endings.
Vampyr
Release Date: Q1/Q2 2018

Vampyr is the upcoming action RPG video game from Dontnod Entertainment. The plot follows the story of Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has turned into a vampire. Faced with his undead condition, he is torn between the Hippocratic Oath and his newfound bloodthirsty nature. The player does not need to kill to finish the game. The player can choose who to prey on. The character is also equipped with weapons and has supernatural abilities to complete his tasks.
