Mihoyo has finally released its newest playable character in Genshin Impact, Eula. Eula is a 5-star Cryo, claymore-user, and is the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. Also known as the Spindrift Knight, Eula is a scion of the old aristocracy in Mondstadt, hailing from the infamous Lawrence Clan.
For those unfamiliar with Mondstadt’s history in Genshin Impact, the Lawrence Clan were infamous for their tyrannical rule. They were overthrown by Venessa, the first Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, together with the help of Venti. Since then, the descendants of the Lawrence Clan were frown upon by the people of Mondstadt. And the same goes for Eula. However, she still strives to reclaim her family’s former glory by protecting the city.
In-game, Eula is a burst-damage dealer that delivers continuous damage with her Normal Attack and Elemental Skill. Eula can also charge her summoned Lightfall Sword through her Elemental Burst, which increases the Physical Damage dealt by the Lightfall Sword when it explodes.

- Normal Attack: Favonius Bladework – Edel
Eula performs five consecutive attacks. Her Charged attack drains her stamina over time to perform continuous slashes. By the end of her performance, she delivers a more powerful slash.
For her plunging attack, Eula, upon striking the ground, will damage opponents along the path and deal AoE (Area of Effect) damage upon impact.
- Icetide Vortex – Elemental Skill
Eula performs swift slashes, which deals Cryo damage. Whenever she hits an opponent, Eula gains a Grimheart, which stacks up to two times. The Grimheart increases Eula’s resistance to interruption and Defense. If the Grimheart stack is consumed, surrounding opponents will have their Physical Resistance and Cryo Resistance decreased.
- Glacial Illumination – Elemental Burst
Eula brandishes her greatsword, which deals immense Cryo Damage to nearby opponents. It also creates a Lightfall Sword that follows Eula around for 7 seconds. This Lightfall Sword increases Eula’s resistance to interruption. Once Eula leaves the field, this Lightfall Sword explodes, dealing Physical Damage.
