Genshin Impact has finally released the trailer for their upcoming update titled Version 3.1 – “King Deshret and the Three Magi.” This new update will bring three new playable characters from the land of Sumeru. — Cyno, Candace, and Nilou.
While Cyno may not yet have been featured in the game, he is a character that was already featured in Genshin Impact’s Webtoon manga. In the manga story, he helped the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt to save Collei. On the other hand, Nilou was a character the Traveler had already met in the previous update.
Here are the details about these three new playable characters coming in the next update:
Cyno
Cyno is the General Mahamatra of Sumeru Akademiya. He maintains an extremely strict academic standard by ensuring that everyone learns fairly and honestly. According to Tighnari, many researchers at the Akademiya fear Cyno will interfere with their research.
As a playable character, Cyno will be a 5-star Electro user that uses a polearm as his weapon.
Candace
Candace remains a mysterious character for the people of Sumeru. According to some, she is a true descendant of King Deshret, while others claim that she can summon the power of the desert. But one thing remains true, Candace is a guardian of the Aaru Village, which is sworn to protect the peace of the village.
As a playable character, Candace holds the power of Hydro and uses a polearm to defeat her enemies.
Nilou
Last but not least, there is Nilou. She is a famous performer from the Zubayr Theater in Sumeru. During the Archon Quest, we also learn that Nilou is one of the few supporters of Lesser Lord Kusanali. According to Dori, Nilou is so great at dancing that she could earn more money if she went on tour around all of Teyvat.
As a playable character, Nilou uses a sword as her weapon to deal her Hydro damage to her enemies. She also has an elegant sword-dancing style technique.
