With the release of the new 1.5 Update in Genshin Impact comes the return of Zhongli’s banner with a new 4-star character. This new 4-star character is named Yanfei, a half-illuminated beast that works as a legal adviser in Liyue. With her knowledge in legal codices and reasonable flexibility, she devotes herself to protecting the fairness of contracts in Liyue.
In the game, Yanfei is a Pyro catalyst user who excels in defeating enemies using her ranged skills and AoE damage. With her consistent AoE damage output, she can be her team’s DPS. She is perfect to pair up with characters that can cause elemental reactions to increase her damage. For example, she can go perfectly with Mona to trigger Vaporize or with Ganyu to trigger Frozen.

- Normal Attack: Seal of Approval
Yanfei can shoot up to three counts of fireballs that deal Pyro damage. Her Normal attacks will grant her a single Scarlet Seal, which can stack up to three. Each Scarlet Seal will decrease Yanfei’s Stamina consumption.
- Elemental Skill: Signed Edict
Yanfei summons blistering flames around her, dealing AoE Pyro Damage. If this attack hits an enemy, she automatically receives three stacks of Scarlet Seals.
- Elemental Burst: Done Deal
Yanfei triggers a spray of intense flames that hits nearby opponents with AoE Pyro Damage. It also grants her a buff called Brilliance which increases the Damage of her Charged Attacks.
- 1st Ascension Passive: Proviso
Upon consumption of Scarlet Seals, each will increase Yanfei’s Pyro Damage bonus by 5%. This effect will last for 6 seconds.
- 4th Ascension Passive: Blazing Eye
Yanfei’s Charged Attack will deal a Critical Hit to opponents, giving her an additional instance of AoE Pyro Damage equal to 80% of the Attack.
- Utility Passive: Encyclopedic Expertise
With this passive skill, upon using Yanfei, the minimap will display the location of nearby resources in Liyue.
