Genshin Impact 3.2 finally releases the Dendro Archon, Nahida, as a playable 5-star Dendro character. But she isn’t the only new character available in the latest update. Genshin Impact will also introduce a new 4-star Cryo character named Layla.
According to the game lore, Layla is a Rtawahist student from Akademiya. She specializes in studying Theoretical Astrology and draws star charts to write her thesis.
Check out Layla’s skills and abilities below:
Nights of Formal Focus – Elemental Skill
Layla releases a shield known as the Curtain of Slumber, which deals AoE Cryo Damage. The DMG Absorption of the Curtain of Slumber is based on Layla’s Max HP. This also absorbs Cryo Damage with 250% effectiveness.
Each Curtain of Slumber can earn Night Star during the following situations:
- When the Curtain of Slumber is active, it creates 1 Night Star every 1.5 seconds.
- When a character protected by Layla’s shield uses an Elemental Skill, 2 Night Stars can be gained every 0.3 seconds.
When Layla accumulates up to 4 Night Stars, and there are nearby opponents, these Night Stars will transform into homing Shooting Stars, which deal with Cryo Damage.
If the duration of the Curtain of Slumber ends, all of the Night Stars will disappear. New Night Stars cannot be created until the previous homing Shooting Stars have been fired.
Dream of the Star-Stream Shaker – Elemental Burst
Layla unleashes a Celestial Dreamsphere, which constantly fires Starlight Slugs at her opponents within its Area of Effect (AoE). Each Starlight Slugs deal with Cryo Damage.
When a Starlight Slug hits, it will also generate 1 Night Star for nearby Curtains of Slumber. Each Curtain of Slumber can gain 1 Night Star for every 0.5 seconds.
Shadowy Dream-Signs – Utility Passive
Every time Layla crafts Character Talent Materials, she gains a 10% chance to receive double the product.
