Fortnite Adds a Monthly Subscription

The popular battle royale game, Fortnite, has introduced a new monthly subscription service with the arrival of its Season 5 – Chapter 2. This new monthly subscription is called Fortnite Crew, wherein players can sign up for only $11.99 a month to get unique perks and benefits in the game aside from the items they can get from purchasing a new Battle Pass every season.

As to how monthly subscription works, players will have to pay a recurring $11.99 cost to receive a series of bonuses and exclusive items. Subscription members will be able to get the following items:

  • The Battle Pass for the Full Season – subscribers will have access to the current season’s Battle Pass
  • 1,000 V Bucks each month
  • Monthly Crew Pack – subscribers will get an exclusive Fortnite Crew Pack monthly, which comes with an always-new Outfit Bundle

According to Epic Games, the first Outfit Bundle to be given this month of December is the Galaxia Outfit and Style. It will also include a Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and Fractured World Back Bling.

The moderators also explained that the Crew Pack will include a new Outfit and at least one new accessory. These items will only be exclusive to Fortnite Crew subscribers.

Players who are interested can purchase the subscription directly from the game’s Item Shop or Battle Pass purchase screen. For players who have already purchased the Battle Pass but want to subscribe, they will be refunded with 950 V-Bucks.

Currently, Fortnite is in the middle of its Marvel-themes Nexus War. And it seems that the Marvel villain, Galactus, will be arriving in the game for the Finale.

Fortnite was first released in 2017 by Epic Games for Microsoft Windows gaming PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It was later released for Nintendo Switch, as well as in Android and iOS phones.
