Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot finally got its first story DLC, titled New Power Awakens – Parts 1, which was released April 28. This DLC features a game-exclusive story focusing on Goku and Vegeta as they train to become Super Saiyan Gods so they can defeat the god Beerus.
The action-adventure game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot features a semi-open world that retells the main storylines from the anime series. However, in this first DLC update, the developers decided to branch from the anime storylines and feature an original tale.
The New Power Awakens – Part 1 DLC also allows players to earn more XP or experience points. Its storyline can be accessed at any point while playing the main game. A Music Compilation Pack can also be downloaded by players on their gaming PC or consoles as of the moment.
While there are many Dragon Ball Z video games, the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a slightly different kind of game since it features a combination of arena-combat elements, and a semi-open world setting.
The game’s open-world parts are quite similar to the Yakuza series, while the arena fights present in the game that makes up the combat portions are familiarly similar to anyone who played the Dragon Ball Tenkaichi games.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released for Microsoft Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 17, 2020.
