Ubisoft has finally launched a new update for The Division 2 called The D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions. The latest update includes a range of game improvements, two new missions, and the long-awaited matchmaking feature for the Operation Dark Hours raid.

To further explain it, the new update adds a new “Discovery” difficulty mode to the Operation Dark Hours raid, which allows matchmaking. However, the Discovery mode won’t allow players to pick the Exotic loot that is available in the Normal mode. Ubisoft promises though that there will be a variety of great rewards that will only be available in the Discovery mode.

Ubisoft also said that the Discovery difficulty mode has been added to allow more players to experience the game in its entirety. The matchmaking feature will also help players who don’t have a full raiding team to play and enter the raid with other users.

In addition to the Discovery difficulty mode update, D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions will also add two new main missions — the Camp White Oak and Manning National Zoo. There will also be a new experience called Expeditions, which is made up of three themed wings which players must complete weekly. Upon completing all the three wings, a treasure room will be unlocked where players can claim rewards.

New missions and activities will also be added, as well as four new gear items. These gear items include the exotic Diamondback rifle, the Stoner LMG, the Carbine 7, and the exotic BTSU Datagloves. Two new classified assignments are also added, one in Washington’s Central and the other is in NSA Site B13. All these assignments will be exclusive to Year 1 pass holders.

The D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions update will be available on July 30 for gaming PC and gaming consoles. As for Year 1 pass holders, the update will be launched earlier on July 23.
