EA has just released its newest battle-royale shooter game, Apex Legends, last February 4. And within one week after its debut, the game has already reached a total of 25 million players.

The news was announced on EA’s official website by Vince Zampella, CEO of Respawn Entertainment. Although a bit surprising, the stats were as expected since Apex Legends has reached 10 million players three days after its released. In fact, the game hosted two million concurrent players during it’s over the first weekend.

And those stats are quite a record, given the fact that Fortnite has broken their 8 million concurrent player mark last November.

Aside from the news, Zampella also discussed the game’s upcoming events in his post. These include the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge that will run from February 12 to 19 and will feature some Twitch streamers competing live in Apex Legends. The games will be broadcast real-time in Apex Legends official Twitch channel.

The second event in the list is Apex Legends’ Valentine Day celebration, where the game will be introducing some limited-time themed loot. Last but not least is the game’s Season One which will kick off in March. This will introduce the game’s first Battle pass, and the release of new weapons, Legends, loot, and more.

Apex Legends is developed by Respawn Entertainment for Microsoft Windows gaming computers, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles. It is a free-to-play battle-royale team-based shooter game set in the same universe as Titanfall.
