With 2017 finally over, Steam has listed down their Best of 2017s. One of our favorite lists happens to be the top played games of the year, so we wanted to share it with you.

TOP#1 – Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds / PUBG

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds or more popularly known as PUBG online is one of the newest game on Steam. It was released on December 21 for Microsoft Windows gaming computers and XBox One consoles. It is a last-man-standing shooter game continuously being developed with its community feedback. The game allows players to fight to locate weapons and supplies in a massive 8×8 km island to be the lone survivor. It currently has 3,080,769 daily active players.
TOP#2 – Dota 2

With more than 1,291,328 daily active players, Dota 2 has one of the biggest communities in Steam, with its number still growing by the minute. Proclaimed as one of the best PC games worldwide, the game features a diversity of heroes with different abilities and gameplay for players to explore. Valve also makes sure to deliver regular gameplay, feature, and hero updates for continuous improvement.
TOP#3 – Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive may have been on Steam since 2012, but it is still one of the top played games. Unlike its pioneer, CS: Go has expanded upon the team-based action gameplay that it has pioneered since it was launched 14 years ago. It has an estimated 850,485 active daily players and has headline competitive gaming tournaments. The game features new maps, characters, and weapons, and delivers updated versions of the classic Counter-Strike content.
TOP#4 – GTA V

Grand Theft Auto V is the popular action-adventure game from Rockstar Games and the first main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series after 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV. The game follows the story of three criminals and their efforts to commit heists while under pressure from a government agency. It is set in a fictional state of San Andreas, in an open-world design. It also has 360,761 daily active players worldwide.
TOP#5 – PayDay 2

With a growing number of players, PayDay 2 has an estimated number of 247,628 daily active users. It is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter game. It also lets the players wear the masks of the original PAYDAY crew: Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains. The game also comes with a CRIMENET network which offers a vast range of dynamic contracts that allow players to choose anything from small-time convenience store hits or kidnappings, to big league cyber-crime or stealing money from major bank vaults.
