Earlier this month AMD unveiled new X3D processors joining the Ryzen 9000 Series lineup – the Ryzen 9900X3D and Ryzen 9950X3D Series desktop processors. And today, they are available in CyberPower gaming PCs.
Regarding the announcement of these new processors, Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of the Computer and Graphics Group at AMD, said, “Gaming has become one of the biggest forms of entertainment around the world, and with titles becoming more immersive and demanding, having the right hardware and software is critical for the best player experience. Today’s announcements underscore our commitment to providing gamers everywhere the freedom to choose their own gaming experiences without being held back by performance bottlenecks.”
Let’s take a look at these high end gaming processor and how they offer unprecedented performance for PC gamers.
Ryzen 9950X3D and 9900X3D – Perfect for Gamers and Content Creators
X3D stands for AMD’s 3D V-Cache Technology. This innovation enables the worlds fastest gaming processors to perform their best with the generous amounts of memory sitting below the processors cores, which have direct access to the CPU cooler – meaning when a chip runs cooler, it can run faster. Let’s check out the specs under the hood of these new processors.
Ryzen 9 9950X3D
The AMD Ryzen 9950X3D is the world’s best 16-core processor for gamers and content creators. It features the same Zen 5 architecture of the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series, along with the game changing new generation of X3D technology.
The 9950X3D features 16 cores and 32 threads. It has a base frequency of 4.3 Ghz and a boost speed of up to 5.7 Ghz. It has a whopping 144 MB of total cache. Lastly, the chip has a TDP of 170W.
Ryzen 9 9900X3D
The AMD Ryzen 9900X3D is a slightly cut down version of the 9950X3D featuring 12 cores and 24 threads. It has a base frequency of 4.4 Ghz and a boost speed of up to 5.5 Ghz. It still boasts an impressive amount of total cache at 140 MB and it has a 120W TDP.
