After months of qualifiers, the biggest PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds tournament of all time is finally here, as the top 20 teams from all over the world converge at Berlin, Germany to compete for the largest prize pool ever seen in PUBG esports — a whopping $2,000,000.

The tournament is set to take place at 10 AM CT at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, spanning from today to July 29 for five days of intense PUBG competition. Games will be played on maps Erangel and Mirarmar, and both third and first person perspective games will be held throughout the tournament, with each of the 20 teams playing 8 matches on each perspective.

There’s also a point system in place, with each kill being worth 15 points and a winner winner chicken dinner earning the respective team a massive 500 points, with 410 points for 2nd, 345 points for 3rd, and so on. After all the matches for both third and first person are complete, the team with the highest number of points will be crowned the champions.

Now for the teams. Each team has made it past numerous rounds of brutal qualifier competition in their own region. Teams consist of players from all over the world, including Europe, North America, China, Korea, CIS, the Middle East, North Africa, Oceania, Chinese Taipei, South America, and Japan. Some of the notable team names are Team Liquid, Team Gates, Black, ahq e-Sports Club, and Gen.G Gold, but there are many more top-level teams in the mix.

Third person games will end on July 26, while the first person competition will take place on July 28-29, with $1 million being allocated to each perspective. But PGI isn’t just limited to competitive play. It will also have a community event on July 27, in which some of the biggest streamers and influencers in the PUBG community — including Shroud, Ninja, DrDisRespect, and more — will compete to earn a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool for a charity of their choice.
