Remember that New Resolution we did for gamers a few days ago? Well, we mentioned something about trying to attend to gaming conventions, right? So we decided to list the 8 gaming conventions that you definitely need to attend this 2016.
● PAX South 2016
When: Jan 29 – Jan 31
Where: Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center
PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) South is the most popular southern gaming convention event in the gaming industry. The whole convention center will have concerts, console freeplay, handheld lounges, exhibit hall, PC area and so many more. This convention draws thousands of gamers and geeks alike to participate in this event and learn; try and enjoy the newest games there is in the gaming industry.
● PAX East 2016
When: Apr 22 – Apr 24
Where: Boston Convention Center
Similar to PAX South, PAX East is organized by the same people and is an annual gamer festival held in Boston. Participants can enjoy the exhibits, its after-hours parties, gaming tournaments, and freeplay areas. Be introduced to the latest and popular console games, computer games, and tabletop games in the industry.
● LVL UP EXPO 2016
When: May 14 – May 16
Where: Cashman Center
LVL UP EXPO 2016 (LUX) is a non-profit convention that focuses on video games, anime and gadgets. Join in their annual gaming tournaments including Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros, Halo 5, HearthStone: Heroes of WarCraft, Rock 4 Band, Mario Kart 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and Guilty Gear X. It also has gaming card tournament such as Magic: The Gathering, UFS: Universal Fighting System, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Force of Will.
● MegaCon
When: May 26 – May 29
Where: Orange County Convention Center
MegaCon is one of the largest geek conventions there is, annually held and attracting thousand of participants from different parts of the country. It includes a comic book expo, sci-fi expo, horror expo, anime expo and gaming expo.
● E3 2016
When: Jun 14 – Jun 16
Where: Los Angeles Convention Center
Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 is a premier tradeshow convention for computer, mobile and video games. It is one of the largest events in the gaming industry up to date. Be introduced to the latest cutting-edge gaming technology, gaming laptop, and gadgets, as well as to the latests games to be release in the market.
● Comicpalooza 2016
When: Jun 17 – Jun 19
Where: George R. Brown Convention Center
Comicpalooza 2016 is an annual multi-genre convention which includes anime, comic-books, science-fiction, gaming and pop culture held in Houston, Texas. It is organized by Startling Events and hosts by Comicpalooza Fandom Awards.
● San Diego Comic-Con 2016
When: Jul 21 – Jul 24
Where: San Diego Convention Center
San Diego Comic-Con 2016 welcomes several attendees from professionals, attendees, retailers, and volunteers alike to enjoy 4 days of funs, games and the latest gaming PCs and gadgets soon to be released in the gaming market. It’s a multi-genre convention so be sure to see cosplays, parties, celebrities and professional gamers.
● BlizzCon
When: September 21 (TBA)
Where: Anaheim Convention Center
BlizzCon 2016 is probably the most awaited convention there is. Annually held in Anaheim and organized by Blizzard Entertainment. Enjoy games from Blizzard such as Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, or watch short films made by fans, or join in with the cosplay crowds.
