Fnatic Announces Their Own Overwatch Team

After months of speculation, Fnatic has finally announced that they had formed a multi-national Overwatch roster. According to Sven Van Herck of Fnatic, that they will be investing heavily in the US and promise to be one of the big players in the region.

The full roster for Fnatic’s Overwatch squad are:

● Coach: Robert Malecki aka “Roflgator”
● DPS: André Dahlström aka “iddqd”
● Support: Scott Kennedy aka “custa”
● Support: Oliver  Lager aka “Vonethil”
● DPS: Casey McIlwaine aka “buds”
● Tank: Warsi Faraaz Waris aka “Stoop”
● Flex: Matthew Iorio aka “coolmatt69”

Leading the lineup is the Swedish players André “iddqd” Dahlström and Oliver “Vonethil” Lager. Vonethil has shown his strength as an in-game leader. While iddqd is known for his great aim and reflexes that often drives the team to victory. He has also shown great skills when using McCree and was ranked as the highest ranked player during Overwatch first week of Competitive Play.

Adding spice to the core team is Canadian Scott “custa” Kennedy, who plays as support, who has distinguished himself as a reliable and all around player perfect for the team. There’s also ex EnVyUs players Warsi Faraaz “Stoop” Waris, Matthew “coolmatt69” Iorio, and Casey “buds” McIlwaine. Three awesome players who had proven themselves as top players in the North American scene since the game’s early beta.

The team will be coached by Robert “Roflgator” Malecki, who has already coached multiple teams in Overwatch.

“It’s an honor to be able to work with such an amazing group of players under the most legendary org,” Malecki said in Fnatic’s announcement. “We have the tools to become the best team in the world, and my goal is to help this team accomplish just that.”

The team will be based in North America, and will start working out on their strategies for future competitions. As of now, Overwatch has accumulated more than 10 million players by Mid-June and is still growing. The game is available for XBox One, PS4 and Microsoft Windows gaming computers.
