After taking a break in 2016 and not releasing any Assassin’s Creed game, Ubisoft is back this 2017 with a new Assassin’s Creed title due release within this year. At E3 2017, Ubisoft finally gave a sneak peek of the Assassin’s Creed Origins set to launch in October 2017 for Microsoft Windows PCs and gaming laptops, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

In a world premier trailer shown in the convention, Assassin’s Creed Origins takes place in ancient Ptolemaic Egypt. This means players will explore pyramids and look for ancient artifacts. Aside from that, this game will also allow the player to travel via naval ships similar to Black Flag. And yes, that means the game will also have full-scale naval battles, and players will be able to dive great depths in the sea to find sunken treasure.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will also introduce a new character named Bayek, the last Medjay, who serves as a desert scout and protector of the pharaoh’s dominion. After leaving his native village of Siwa, he went on a journey to pursue something mysterious. This will eventually lead him to travel to Egypt and play a significant role in the birth of the Assassin Brotherhood.

What makes the game more exciting is that Ubisoft announced that Origins will have a map three times larger than Black Flag. The Egypt map will be composed of 5 areas: Giza, Siwa, Memphis, Faiyum, and the Nile Delta. The map will also feature many historical monuments and sites, as well as the Great Pyramids of Giza and the river Nile.

Aside from that, Origins will also feature a new combat system. It is entirely redesigned around weapon hitboxes and positioning as well rather than timed animations, giving players far more control over every combat encounter. However, enemies will have that same freedom. This means players must have to consider the positioning and timing of your attacks more than ever.

In addition to this revised combat system, Origins will also feature a new Adrenaline Gauge which will allow you to build up energy as you fight. This will give you the ability to unleash devastating attacks to finish your enemy.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is now available to pre-order on Steam. You can check it out at this link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/582160/Assassins_Creed_Origins/
