With Google plans of releasing and producing their own Stadia titles, it seemed that the company has started hiring developers for its first game studio. And according to the news, most of these developers have worked on the Assassin’s Creed series.
According to VGC, Google has hired people from Ubisoft Montreal, who previously held senior positions on the said company. IGN has later confirmed that news by checking the developers’ LinkedIn profiles.
The people include Sebastian Puel, Francois Pelland, and Mathie Leduc. And if you guys can remember, Google’s current games and entertainment vice president Jade Raymond have also worked at Ubisoft and contributed to games like Assassin’s Creed 2, Watch Dogs, and Splinter Cell Blacklist, which were all released for gaming PC.
Sebastian Puel has now become Google Studio’s general director. Francois Pelland is the head of the production, while Mathie Leduc joins Google as the art director.
According to Google, their game studio will focus on producing first-party for its new game streaming service, Stadia. They aim to deliver the highest-fidelity graphics and lowest input lag possible from any game streaming services in the market.
Google further continues to expand its horizon and dreams of releasing amazing titles and content with their new studio.
