Square Enix announces that the Outriders release date has been delayed to February 2, 2021. The game will be launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and gaming PC via Epic and Steam. Outriders will also feature a complete crossplay experience and will support free upgrades to next-gen consoles.
Outriders was initially announced to be released in Holiday 2020. However, the team encountered some complications due to the coronavirus pandemic. And these lead the work process restructuring to a delay.
Square Enix confirmed, though, that Outriders’ base game is in a largely complete state. But the game’s testing operations ran into some issues with its switch from normal operations. Due to this, the developer team needs a bit more time to fix these issues and make sure that the Outriders gaming experience will be as smooth. The end goal is to make the game issue-free as possible before the game is launched.
As it was stated earlier, Outriders will feature a complete crossplay experience for the players. Aside from that, there will be a free game upgrade from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5. Smart Delivery, on the other hand, will be supported for Xbox One to Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S.
Outriders is a third-person shooter video game that features elements from role-playing games. At the start of the game, the players create their custom characters and then choose from four classes, each one with their own unique abilities that players can utilize. The four classes in the game include the Trickster, the Pyromancer, the Devastator, and The Technomancer.
The Trickster has the ability to control time, while the Pyromancer can manipulate Fire. The Devastator can create seismic attacks, and lastly, there is the Technomancer, who uses gadgets for his attacks.
The Outriders was first announced at E3 2019.
