Rebellion Development has confirmed the release date of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered version. The game is set to hit the market on May 14, 2019, for Microsoft Windows gaming PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch gaming consoles.
Sniper Elite V2 was first released in 2012 as the sequel game for the 2005 Sniper Elite. Although both of the games are set in the same location and timeframe, Sniper Elite V2 features a different alternate narrative. The game follows the story of an officer from the American Office of Strategic Services, who must capture or kill the scientists involved in the creation and development of the German V-2 rocket program. Aside from that mission, the player must also prevent the Red Army (The Russians) from taking these scientists into their side to develop their own long-range missiles.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered transformed the old shooter video game and polished it up for the modern spec, offering 4K and HDR support to the players and fans of the game. Aside from that, the remastered version will feature updated environments, weapons, vehicles, and even characters. It is also reported to have modernized rendering as well as post-processing effects, updated textures and particles, enhanced level geometry, revamped lighting system, and a whole lot of other improvements.
Another notable feature of the Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is its new photo mode that allows players to apply filters, adjust the camera, and even tweak the lighting to take in-game photos.
And that’s not all, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered version also allows the player to play the game’s campaign and multiplayer mode as one of the new characters from the Rebellion’s Zombie Army series. The multiplayer mode has also been improved and can now host up to 16 players online. And best of all, the remastered version will also include all the downloadable content that was released for the game.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered was first announced this year alongside the three other Sniper Elite games including Sniper Elite VR title, Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition for Switch, and the Sniper Elite 5. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be priced at $34.99. But for those who have purchased the original game during the Steam Humble Monthly Offerings, they can buy the remastered version for the low price of $9.99.
