Genshin Impact 2.0 finally introduces the City of Inazuma, the third location in Teyvat to be unlocked by the players following Mondstadt and Liyue. The latest update introduces us to three new playable characters from Inazuma — Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu. However, Mihoyo also teased players about the upcoming characters that will be released in the next update. These characters include the Electro Archon Raiden Shogun, Tenryou Commission’s Kujou Sara, and the mysterious Sangonomiya Kokomi.
These three Genshin Impact upcoming characters all have vital roles in the current Electro Archon quest. Get to know more about them below:
Raiden Shogun
Raiden Shogun is the current Electro Archon who presides and rules over Inazuma. She is also known as the Almighty Shogun, who initiated the Vision Hunt Decree. Raiden believes that Visions are divine blessings from the gods and should be under the sole dominion of divinity to continue her eternal rule. Visions that were seized by her army are given to the statue called the Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God.
As a playable character, it is seen in leaked videos that Raiden Shogun is a polearm user. However, she is seen wielding a sword in the trailer and game. Raiden may have the same mechanics as Tartaglia/Childe, shifting from a bow to a melee-ranged weapon.
Kujou Sara
Kujou Sara holds an Electro Vision and wields a bow, as seen in the scenes of Genshin Impact 2.0 during the resistance battle. Sara is the adopted daughter of the renowned Kujou Clan and is the general of the Tenryou Commission. As part of the Kujou Clan, Sara serves Baal and supports her Vision Hunt Decree. Together with her troops, she seized Visions from the people of Inazuma. Kujou Sara also happens to be the one who defeated Kazuha’s friend in a duel before the throne.
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Sangonomiya Kokomi is a Hydro-vision user related to the Sangonomiya Shrine family and described as a wise and resourceful military advisor. She also led the resistance army that opposed the Electro Archon’s Vision Hunt Decree and was believed to be an enigmatic and shrewd leader. Although she always has a quiet smile on her face, she has a plan for everything. Sangonomiya Kokomi is said to be a catalyst user.
