Kate Bishop Arrives in Marvel’s Avengers

Kate Bishop - Marvel Avengers

It has been confirmed that Kate Bishop will arrive in the Marvel Avengers game this December 8. Hawkeye, Clint Barton, will also be added to the game and will come in early 2021.

After the delay of her character’s arrival which was supposedly in October, Kate Bishop will now come to the game as part of the new campaign Operation called Taking A.I.M. All of the new content in this operation will be added for free.

In Taking A.I.M., Kate Bishop is searching for her former mentor, Hawkeye. However, along the way, she will discover a conspiracy involving Nick Fury, time travel, and a threatening new enemy.

In the gameplay video that the developers released, we could see Kate Bishop showing both ranged bow attacks and melee finishers with a sword. She is also capable of teleporting to short distances using the Quantum tech that was stolen from A.I.M. As expected from Hawkeye’s apprentice, Kate Bishop comes with multiple arrow types, including Explosive, Razor, Scatter, and Smokescreen. She is also capable of creating a distracting Decoy hologram and uses a Warp Arrow to teleport. Last but not least, Kate Bishop can use her Ultimate Skill to fire Quantum empowered arrows.

Taking A.I.M. will be the first new chapter of Avengers Initiative Campaign – Season 1. In this chapter, Kate Bishop embarks on a rescue mission for her mentor Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, by using a bridge through time to rescue him. In this process, she must also cut the antagonist Monica Rappacini off from her future self. Taking A.I.M. is also said to offer exclusive rewards to the players.

The developers promise to add heroes, villains, missions, biomes, and more to the Operations. The arcs will also be structured similar to the Marvel comics they’re inspired by.

A short teaser was also released, showing Clint Barton/Hawkeye will be added as a playable character in early 2021. He will be part of Operation Future Imperfect and will take place in the future where all hope seems lost. The game’s developer, Crystal Dynamics, confirmed that the gameplay reveals will be coming in the near future.
