Genshin Impact has revealed two new characters coming to the game in their next update. These two new characters are Yelan and Kuki Shinobu. For those who have played 2.6’s Story Quest, you’ll remember Yelan as a character that has been teased in its cinematic video. On the other hand, Kuki Shinobu is a character from Inazuma, whose name the Traveler has only heard of from the Arataki Gang.
These two new characters are coming to the game as part of the 2.7 Update, which will release around mid-May.
YELAN
Yelan is a mysterious person who claims she works for Liyue’s Ministry of Civil Affairs.
Her identity has always been a mystery for the people of Liyue. She acts like a phantom, appearing in various guises at the center of events. She then disappears before the storm stops.
Everyone who encounters Yelan has met her using a different name and identity. All these people she met thought they could create a partnership with her. However, she keeps them at bay and in the dark.
As revealed in the cinematic video from 2.6 Story Update, Yelan is a Hydro character who wields a bow.
KUKI SHINOBU
Kuki Shinobu is an Electro character who uses a sword to defeat his enemies. She is the sidekick of Arataki Itto and acts as the deputy leader of the Arataki Gang.
While Kuki Shinobu joined the Arataki Gang at a later stage, she was able to transform the group. They have expanded to all walks of life, including business negotiation, banquet catering, clothing customization, and legal consultation.
Stories say Kuki Shinobu had studied abroad and that she has close affiliations with the Tenryou Commission. This gains the suspicions of outsiders. However, the Hanamizaka residents who deal with the Arataki Gang always go to Kuki Shinobu for advice.
