For weeks, there has been an ongoing rumor that Crytek will release a remastered version of Crysis 2. Crysis remasters the three Crysis games and will come as bundle together with the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. This game as a standalone purchase this coming Fall.
Crytek shared that the remastered games of Crysis are enhance and optimize by Saber Interactive. The game will for PlayStation, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and gaming PC. And according to Crysis, all the three Crysis games will play even smoother on next-gen consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Crysis Remastered
The first game in the trilogy was already remastered before and released in 2020 after some delay. The delay’s cause mixed reactions of the fans after seeing leaked game footage. It is safe to say that Crysis will learn from their initial mistakes with the first remastered game and will not do the same to the newly remastered versions.
Aside from some visual improvements, Crysis Remastered included high-quality textures up to 8K, temporal anti-aliasing, and HDR support. It also features Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO), Global Illumination (SVOGI), and Screen Space Reflections and Shadows (SSR & SSS). It also includes new light settings, motion blur, parallax occlusion mapping, state-of-the-art depth fields, and new, updated particle effects. When it comes to PC, Xbox One X, and PS4 Pro, Crysis Remastered includes ray tracing with Nvidia RTX GPUs.
