Bluehole Studio, the creators of TERA Online and PlayerUnknown’s Battle Grounds, is currently working on an upcoming MMORPG called Ascent: Infinite Realm.
Ascent: Infinite Realm, a.k.a. A: IR, is an MMORPG that combines fantasy with steampunk, introducing you to an immersive world full of airships and magic, fantasy and dragons. Its trailer was featured on Bluehole’s new Youtube channel and showcases a ton of content for the upcoming MMORPG — the game’s majestic airships and fortresses being raided by mechs and players that glide through the air using personal fliers.

The gameplay as seen in the trailers features a three-dimensional design. Since the world of A: IR consists of islands floating in the air, residents use airships as their primary form of transportation. This means characters are dependent on airships to explore, travel, and conquer.

Ascent: Infinite Realm lets you pick one of five fantastic classes, allowing you to learn to master their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses. These classes include the mystical Sorceress, the blessed Mystic, the powerful Warlord, the wily Assassin, and the gritty Gunslinger.
Take to the Skies
Much of A: IR’s gameplay centers around aerial combat and travel. Characters can travel in the clouds aboard a vast array of transports including airships, skycycles, and flying mounts. Once there, get ready to face opponents. In A: IR combat occurs both in the air and on the ground.
Realm VS Realm PvP
In A: IR factions exist, and they fight for glory, doing offensive and defensive efforts using all kinds of flying vehicles they have in hand. Players can also join the fight from the ground using their mechs and anti-air artillery to bring down airborne threats.
Aside from these key features, the game also allows you to engage in travel quests and resource gathering. The game even lets you build your own house on a small lot of land.
But the best part of the game is that it is free-to-play. It is set to be released in 2018 for Microsoft Windows gaming PCs and gaming laptops. And since the game is still in development, we can’t wait to see more surprises that the game has in store.
