League of Legends World Tournament Location Information

Riot has announced that the League of Legends World Tournament will be conducted in Singapore, Taipei and South Korea.

Previously only expected to take place in South Korea, the World Tournament is expected to have its preliminary group stages held in the two new locations reported. Three teams from North America, Europe, South Korea and China will come together with two teams from Taiwan, Southeast Asia and wild card teams in Singapore and Taipei. The teams will then be randomly split up into groups of four in order to duke it out for a spot in the quarter-finals.

The top two teams in each group will move on to Busan, South Korea, where the quarter-finals are being held. By October 19th the teams will migrate over to Seoul, South Korea for the competitors to have the final matches of their season in the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The stadium was originally built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and has enough seating for 66,000 people, tripling the size of Staples Center, the location of the League of Legends World Tournament in 2013.

This is the 4th Season of League of Legends competitive play, and Riot has done its best to make the game enjoyable to play and watch for its audience. The only thing we can expect now is another successful tournament and a set of epic matches to watch when September rolls around.
