How to Update GPU Drivers – 2024 Guide

Drivers are the software, or set of instructions, that allow your PC to convert code into what you see on your screen. Determine What Type of GPU You Have

Ensure you are headed to the right place to update your drivers. You will want to know what kind of GPU is inside your PC. If you have your order info or PC box on hand, it will say on there. On a CyberPowerPC system you will have an NVIDIA GeForce, AMD Radeon, or Intel ARC GPU. If you do not have that on info hand, here is what you can do.

Open the search box in Windows and type ‘System Information’, then click on the System Information app in the menu. In the System Info panel, you will see the “Display” tab under “Components”. Look for Adapter Type and Adapter Description. This will tell you what type of GPU is in your PC.

Now that you know the manufacturer of your graphics card, you know which corresponding driver you will need.

For NVIDIA this is GeForce Experience, for AMD Radeon it is called Adrenalin, and for Intel ARC it is the Intel ARC Control Panel.
