It’s confirmed, Fallout 76 is getting a new game mode in the first quarter of 2019, announced by Bethesda. It is also said that the new game mode will come without PvP restrictions.

The new mode, as described by its developers, will allow players to attack or engage in combat without the need of both parties agreeing to a duel. This gameplay has existed in many MMORPG video games, and many fans are quite excited to see it in Fallout 76, especially since it reverted from its single-player campaign to a multiplayer game style.

As explained by Bethesda, once the game mode has rolled out, if one player decides to shoot or engage in a battle with another player, the damage dealt would be reduced until the other player chose to return fire. They see this as a means to prevent griefing and promote cooperative play in-game, though we’re not exactly sure about the latter.

Aside from this new addition, Bethesda will also be releasing a new patch by mid-January. The patch is said to fix the Lever-Action Rifle reload animation and the robot duplicating issues at White spring.

Since its release, Fallout 76 has been getting a lot of patches and update to fix the in-game. Users have been complaining about the bugs and issues, while Bethesda is trying their make the game better as much as possible.

Fallout 76 was released last November 14, 2018, for Microsoft Windows PCs and gaming laptops, XBox One, and PlayStation 4. It is the first multiplayer game in the series, where the player can team up with other players to explore its post-apocalyptic open-world.
