In the past couple of months I upgraded my OS to Win7 Pro 64-bit.  According to Microsoft's Update website everything is current and up to date, yet when I go to Gigabyte's Download Center website it recommends different updated drivers for various components.  Who do I defer to?

Bonus Question: A couple times a day (the PC runs constantly) I will get two beeps from the CPU and I have no idea what they indicate -- there are no entries in the event viewer nor error messages of any kind.

Thanks, Guy

MS update does not check chipset drivers, etc., as far as I know.

What drivers are you referring to?

FYI, I have not downloading anything from the Gigabyte site but the new BIOS files as they come out.
