Hi

Microsoft is coming close to release of Service Pack 2 for Vista.

PS - My only concern is that the article says it only contains 671 hot fixes.LOL

In retrospect it would be easier if they sent windows 7 as an update instead, but I digress. The Service Packs of XP delivered a whole lot of updates that improved the operating system.

I run Vista on a machine at work.  It doesn't integrate well with others (win 2k, 2k3, xp) but I find it to be alright.  Enough so that I took it on my new system (Ultimate 64-bit) at least until W7 is tried and true.

I consistently have issues with 64-bit technology.  Microsoft can't seem to make it's own products work well on it.  I upgraded to one of my home clients to Vista 64-bit only to discover I could no longer connect to my Windows Home Server.  Turns out that it is incompatible.

64 Bit is still a little slow in full adoption industry wide!  In the future when all is writen for 64 bit we will have to find something else to Bi*ch about!!!

I think the question someone should ask you is "why did you upgrade to Vista?"

I remember similar rants about 32-bit tech.  I realized there are always people who will bish.

I asked myself the same thing.  I have since "upgraded" to Windows 7 Beta.  I have to say that I'm very impressed.  I actually think that Windows 7 Beta is the most stable and functional OS release that Microsoft has ever had.  I think it works better than Vista SP1.
