Hi

This is a general question to all.
Do you know if cyberpower doses any testing of the system prior to shipping the system. I read we have to test the memory, graphics card and cpu using memtest, furmark, prime95 respectively. And also stability of the system.

Can anyone throw some light into this as I am concerned, the system will arrive and I might have to test and I have not done this before.

regards
Cooloff

As far as I've heard cyberpower does none of that testing what so ever. I'm not sure what their QC consists of, but I would be interested in finding out myself.

We run 3D mark, Furmark and Prime 95 before the system ships out.  Quality control is between 1 to 2 days unless more testing is required.

Is it possible to request additional testing? Such as memtest and what not. Just to be sure that none of the hardware is dead out of the box?

Thanks for the information. Yeah, it would be great to test memory too, though i don't think its a big deal.

Do you install windows, do these tests, then re-install windows? From what I've seen when people get their comps the first boot takes you to windows config, not desktop.

We only run memtest if we believe the memory is faulty and use it to confirm. We will do additional tests if it's deemed necessary.  As for Windows, we will reinstall Windows after we finish the testing process.

The CP site claims (//www.cyberpowerpc.com/company/shipping.aspx) that all non-rush systems get a 72 hour burn in. (3 days!) What software if any is run during the burn in, or is that mostly just a powered-on smoke test?

I will need to contact the webmaster about that as we only use 3 days for testing if the system has a compatibility issue.  We will run several benchmarks and games to make sure the system can handle heavy loads.

It would be nice if CP included the results of your tests  ie.. benchmarks with the computer Smile
