i recently changed the motherboard due to damage and also changed the cpu. it cant activate the windows 10 key on it since apparently it was for my other motherboard. i bought this computer a few months ago at a yard sale and it was going well until the issue with the motherboard. what can i do to fix this issue?

Gonna have to buy Windows 10 again probably. I did get oem Windows 7 to work on a different mother board once though. Don't know how I did that. Only problem was my new MOBO didn't have drivers for USB 2 peripherals.

Well, as stated BUY a retail version. OEM Windows systems are tied to the MOBO of the "original" PC it is installed on.

So stop trying to illegally install an OS and asking help to do so from the message board. It will get you banned.

I can understand your problem as I have also faced that. The new Windows 10 update has come with lots of problems and the users are facing that. I have faced the booting issue after updating the Windows latest version. I have to http://https://errorcode0x.com/error-code-0xc0000428/" rel="nofollow - fix  http://https://errorcode0x.com/error-code-0xc0000428/" rel="nofollow - ERROR CODE 0XC0000428 to make the system run again properly.
