750 - 800 Watts is usually fine for an SLI config. I dunno about crossfire though. Don't mess with ATI much.

You can never go wrong with a larger power supply; especially when configuring a system with multiple GPUs in either Crossfire or SLI.  In this particular case, I agree with a 750 watt to 850 watt power supply already suggested to allow room to power future external devices.

yeah, is it 800w really good for two high end cards like 9800 cards ?  I heard that better go with 850 w or more, brand name ones are even better.
awsome

i have read some reviews about power supply and video cards, for something like the 9800 you may want to go with 850w, because on the 9800 cards the power connectors are 8 pins and most of the 800w power supply has that, but if you are running SLI you will need a 850w PS that will have 2x 8pins power connector cable for your 2 video cards.

Do the 9 series really eat that much power?!? NE way, bigger is always better - if you can afford it. My cards are 8 series and 800 works fine. If the 9's are power hungry, listen to them. Haven't used one yet. Heard the benchmarks aren't that great yet.
