Yea, no offense but that's a terribad build. For that kind of money you should be rocking an i7 and a GTX 1070 maybe even 1080.

I'll try a build if I get some time later for you.

Agreed, he added $400 in unnecessaries in there, and no 5 off. No fans either. Don't know his uses, I'm posting a similar w/ better 1060 and PSU in a bit.

Did you buy a $50 mouse - LOL? I wanted the one you got but they wouldn't throw it in. I know it was cheap but I could have used an extra decent one.

If it doesn't Light Up, Turn On, or Plug In, I don't want it!

Hello everyone, wish I had seen this forum before ordering. But had heard about a few things to avoid like the standard power supply. Here's what I ordered last night. I would appreciate any advise on my build. If there is anything that's a big mistake maybe I can get customer service to make a change for me.

You chose well, I'd just drop the OC and do it yourself, you already got the OC CPU protection plan. They tend to up the voltage too much. Otherwise, when you get the rig, you can always remove the OC in BIOS or tweak it yourself if it's a problem, it may not be, you got great cooling.

I assume you got the pro wiring for the looks, it's not needed, but if you like it, whatever floats your boat. You will have fans left over that they should include in the package, if you want you can ask them to change to order to only 3 extra Tt white LED fans since you wouldn't need 4.

I like the MoBo and the CPU cooling. You got a good GPU. Some good deals w/ the gift card and free U/G on the EVGA Gold PSU. And the one instance where I've seen the combo HD to be a better deal than separate HD's (you will have a ton of space). No more superbargains on 240 or 480 SSD's.

Don't know what you will be doing, but realized you got 8GB RAM, not 16, in a souped up rig. For gaming it's fine, and you can always add more later, that's very easy. If you do call to drop the OC, it's $60 more to U/G to 16GB RAM, just so you know.

BTW, you should start your own thread next time. Guess you didn't know.

Thanks for the info advice. I will call customer service and talk to them about those issues. Are you taking about the extreme OC for $39 I was wondering about the fans. Did not know if I had gotten to many if they put it in the box or not. As for the wiring I will talk to them about it. Again thanks!

Yep start your own thread.

Generally looking good. You may be able to call and get them to drop the OC and save some cash.

TechLord has the suggestions.

Did you use a checkout code to save 5%, NO RUSH or SPRING0410 ?

Sorry for posting on this tread instead of starting a new one. Learning the rules here. But want to post one last time here on my order. Hope that is ok? Called and change my order. Big goof on the memory. Meant to select 16GB not 8GB. Got that changed. Dropped the OC overclocking. Will do hat myself. Dropped the pro wiring, you are right a waste. And fixed the fan number.   Dropping those and adding the increase in memory to 16 GB I still saved some money. Went from $1789 to $1771. I'll take that anytime. Oh yes I used the spring410 code for 5% off. Again thanks for tolerating a newbie learning the ropes on this forum. Have a great day!

Looks like you got everything right. Smile  I'm glad you're are building that nice rig w/ 16GB, that just seemed like the way to go w/ all the other good stuff you got. Great build! Thumbs Up
