Hello, built a PC about 5 years ago and trying to do a new complete upgrade however just looking to see if anyone sees any compatibility issues with this build. For gaming only. Trying to keep it close to the 2k mark in pricing. Any suggestions or conformation of compatibility would be greatly appreciated!

As we see a lot. Never, Never, Never the standard PSU. CP will throw in anything they have. It may be decent, but if it is the true "standard" PSU, it is junk. Providing uneven power (ripples) which is hard on every component long term. Has high failure rates and has been known to fry systems.
Thermaltake, Corsair, EVGA, XFX are fine.
Even with the AMD cpu, you could drop to a 240mm sealed cooler, unless you are doing extreme overclocking or don't have air conditioning.
I would go with an NVMe primary drive. These are going to be 4 or 5 times faster for boot & load times.
Haven't heard anything negative about this MSI MOBO, just a Gigabyte fan myself or Asus.
Sometimes going with an AMD cpu can save you some cash. Not in this case. Going with an Intel i9-9900k which outranks & outperforms the AMD is going to save you some cash.
Checkout this Intel build. Pretty well the same less the cpu, cooler, PSU and a blazing fast NVMe pcie drive. (Tons faster).
First check the link out comparing the AMD & Intel cpu differences. >>>> https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-9900K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-2700X/4028vs3958
Base price $2,065.00. Either system use checkout code spring0410 or NORUSH for 5% off the total. To me it's clear. Intel is the way to go here.

Nothing to look at! Gan's build is much more powerful faster and more stable. It will last longer as well.
Something not really said much anymore is how much more gaming power per core an Intel I5 or I7 has over AMD.
Even a low end I5 9400F will game as well as some of AMD strongest gaming CPU's. And runs a lot cooler. Sure it will fall behind AMD in life tasks, but not gaming.
