Does anyone know if only the DVI port is active straight out of the Box?

	Any port on the GPU is active. None of the MOBO once an add-in GPU is installed. Seems you didn't check around the site first. The membership never suggest an off the shelf build from a third party. These often have JUNK "standard" PSU's installed, and lower end RAM. If you already bought this at least see what PSU you have. If it is not a name brand do yourself a favor and get it out of your system. These provide un-even power (ripples) which is hard long term on your whole system. They have a high failure rate and have been known to fry systems. If you haven't bought it yet. Start a new thread and post your max budget and what the system is for. The membership will chime in with suggestions for a solid build and may even save you some cash.
