I recently bought a new machine and received an offer of free McAfee Antivirus, for what I assume was life. I received a key and instructions to go to the web site (www.mcafee.com/Intel/Channel) to download the software, except there is nothing there to download and no references to use.

I have talked to someone at CP 3 times about it and I get SQUAT help.

I wish I could say that was successful. This was the error I got:

This product key is not associated with the country and language that you selected. Please select the country and language of the product that you purchased.

The site you gave me is for McAfee Antivirus Plus 2014 downloads and I received a key for McAfee ANTIVIRUS PLUS.

Yes, I did select United States English.

That is odd. Try THIS LINK. Seems McAfee may have altered the links. If you still cannot activate, email tech support with a pic of your coupon and a pic of the website link you are at with the error message you are getting. They'll help you get that resolved.

This is the error message I got this time:

You've entered an invalid PIN. Please check the PIN and try again, or contact Customer Service.

I tried it several times.

Your first link was not this link. It looked like it should work, but does not.

BTW - the illustration they show you online does not look like the card I got. There's looks like something you would buy in a store.

Hmmmm, does your card say Mobile on there? Only thing I can think of is that maybe you received a card for mobile OS's instead of Windows. Please contact tech support. If you got the wrong one we can send you the correct card. Or if there is just an issue in which it cannot be redeemed, we can assist in getting that taken care of for you.

No mention of mobile. It says "protects 1 PC". Also, supports all the PC operating systems.

I really think it is for companies, not consumers.
