Hi all

It looks like the wait for the 5870s and 5850s will be longer than expected.  In the middle of this ATI has announced the 5890 (good luck in getting one), nvidia is fazing out the GT200s, and where is Fermi.

That is an older article but from what AMD has said after that article was written is that they continue to ship out but TSMC is doing a poor job making the chips so they can't meet demand. It just comes down to CP being on the list of receiving theirs. AMD said that e-tailers and retailers were first on the list.

Super article / good reading.  Not sure that the supply will ramp up again quickly or prices drop until the yeild issue is really resolved.

LOL the anandtech article is ten days old, how fast things move.

Alan you aren't kidding. The wonderful world wide web.
I agree with you that supply will take months before it builds up, I meant they said it takes TSMC a month to turn a batch out. That is scary when you are waiting for your computer because of it and until Nvidia comes out w/ fermi they will keep the prices a bit higher.
