Customer Reviews and Ratings on CyberPowerPC products - Gaming Laptop Tracer III 17S Slim VR 100
So far the laptop is fantastic and fulfills everything I wanted for a laptop. I would definitely recommend for friends looking for something for a similar experience
The Tracer III 17 Slim laptop has really exceeded my expectations. Having an i7-9750H alongside Nvidia's mobile GTX 1660ti makes for an impressively powerful and portable workstation or gaming system. Where the Tracer III really shines, however, is in how it supports that killer hardware, both with its build quality and CyberPower's built-in software. The laptop's frame has a quality feel and look, and has excellent ventilation. Even under benchmark conditions the system ran considerably cooler than any previous laptop I've owned. The Tracer III's screen has really impressed me and, aside from needing some simple color calibration to suit my taste, may be the best laptop display I've had the pleasure of using. The 144Hz refresh rate makes for a very smooth and crisp viewing experience, more than I had expected it to. The screen's colors and contrast are also quite impressive, with strong darks, accurate whites, and vibrant colors in-between. CyberPower's packaged-in software, named GamingCenter, also surprised me in how useful and well developed it is. While most manufacturer software comes off as buggy, rushed, or even feeling like bloatware, GamingCenter is anything but. It has a very smooth and attractive user experience, and offers a host of useful features like customizable display color management, an easy to use system for changing the keyboard's RGB backlighting, and multiple performance modes that are interchangeable via a convenient button next to the power switch. The battery life of the Tracer III is what you would expect with a powerful hardware line-up, with my system having about two good hours in it until it needs to be plugged in. My one criticism of the Tracer III is that the keyboard could stand to see some rework. The individual keys feel like they're not centered on the mechanical switches, so there is some inconsistent wiggle when pressing keys from either the top/bottom/left/right. That's not to say the keyboard is bad, it's certainly not, it's just that everything else is so well done that the bar is very high. Overall, the Tracer III is an exceptional laptop with very impressive build quality if you're in the market for a portable and powerful system. If you're looking at this configuration specifically, I would recommend bumping up the RAM a bit and consider upgrading the M.2 SSD.
