Customer Reviews and Ratings on CyberPowerPC products - Gaming Laptop Tracer III 15R Slim VR 800
The case is sturdy, slim, not heavy but still packs a punch gaming wise. Only cons are it gets hot on the metal parts so under the spacebar and at the power button like to the point of burning hot. And with it getting hot you wanna max the fans out and doing that makes it sound like a jet engine. Headphones needed since the speakers are not much worth talking about.
CRAZY, AWESOME BUILD QUALITY
It will take a moderate amount of time to truly check out the system but based on what I've seen in the past 10 hours of straight use of this laptop. It's very well made. Very sturdy, with no flex on the keyboard or chassis. Extremely sturdy. RGB lighting is very well done. The system is very snappy and I've tried numerous games on it. Apex Legends, Overwatch, Metro Exodus, etc. Let NVIDIA pick the best settings for it (which was always ultra or epic max settings) and so far its been a good experience playing games. FPS is high, smooth buttery play. The 144Hz screen is very vibrant and rich in colors. Viewing angles are amazing on this IPS. I've tested the response time and it is indeed 1ms. It's greatly improved my competitiveness in FPS games. The fan is extremely quiet leaving it in office mode all day and though it gets warm, it doesn't get uncomfortably hot. Playing games for long periods doesn't make the fan spin up like crazy either. Though you can set it to gamer mode and the fans will spin at max and be audible but not crazy loud. A simple headset will block out that noise easily. I can't think of anything else at the moment but the laptop is pretty good and surprising with the performance and enhanced gameplay I'm now experiencing. Oh wait there is another thing incase anyone is curious. The keyboard is mechanical. Not a loud clickety clack, but a good "oh yes I can tell my key registered" feeling.
So far it is great. The chassis seems strong. I like the bottom side venting. Keys feel nice with good travel. Styling is perfectly modest with grey and black car like feel. I can take it to work or sit in public and not feel like I stick out with red emblems and lights everywhere. I have not had time to thoroughly test graphics benchmarks which could change my score to a 5 (or 3). You should consider sending a build to Linus Tech tips on YouTube for a review. I think you would get good feedback and likely a strong review.
